Important Notice – Resubmission of Bank Account Details by Mahapola Scholarship Recipients

The Lalith Athulathmudali Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund wishes to inform students selected for the Mahapola Scholarship for the Academic Year 2024/2025 that the online registration process closed on 17 August 2026.

However, the bank account details submitted by certain students listed in the attached document have been rejected as they do not comply with the prescribed Mahapola Scholarship guidelines.

Accordingly, the students concerned are required to resubmit their correct bank account details through the Mahapola online registration system to facilitate the processing of their scholarship payments.

The reasons for rejection of the respective bank account details are indicated against each student's name in the attached list. Students are kindly requested to carefully review the stated reason and provide the correct information in accordance with the Mahapola Scholarship guidelines.

The deadline for resubmission is 20 September 2026.

The Mahapola Trust Fund has already scheduled the awarding ceremony for 28 September 2026. Therefore, students are strongly advised to comply with the instructions fully and submit the required bank account details within the prescribed deadline to facilitate the timely processing of their scholarship payments.

Instructions for Resubmission

• Visit the official Mahapola website: https://www.mahapola.lk
• Access the online registration portal: https://mahapola.lk/BankApp2025/
• Log in using your NIC number.
• Review the reason for rejection indicated against your name in the attached list.
• Correct your bank account details in accordance with the Mahapola Scholarship guidelines.
• Resubmit the corrected bank account details through the online system on or before 20 September 2026.

Students are requested to ensure that all information provided is accurate and complies with the prescribed guidelines. Failure to resubmit the required information within the given deadline may result in delays in the processing of scholarship payments.

Important Notice to Mahapola Scholarship Recipients – Academic Year 2024/2025

The Lalith Athulathmudali Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund informs all students selected for the Mahapola Scholarship for the Academic Year 2024/2025 that online registration is mandatory to facilitate scholarship payments.

Students who have not registered as instructed are requested to complete their online registration and confirm their eligibility on or before 20 September 2026 at 10.00 a.m.

Registration Instructions

1. Visit the official registration portal: Mahapola Online Registration - https://www.mahapola.lk/BankApp2025/
2. Log in using your NIC number.
3. Complete the online registration and submit the required information.
4. Print and sign the completed application.
5. Submit the signed application to your university together with a copy of your bank passbook or bank account confirmation.

   Important Information

   Scholarship payments will be made only to individual accounts maintained at the Bank of Ceylon or People's Bank.

   Joint bank accounts will not be accepted.

   Students must provide a valid mobile number and email address and keep them active throughout the scholarship period.

   Students are advised not to change their bank details after registration, as unauthorized changes may delay or suspend scholarship payments.

   Students who fail to complete registration within the prescribed deadline may be affected in receiving their scholarship payments.
